GF18 Free Advertising Resources

There are many free advertising sources on the internet, some of which are good, but some of which are not worth your time. Free to most people usually means you don't have to pay for it with actual money. But when you are in business time = money, so that what you thought was free is not as you have to devote time to it.

You also have to remember that there are a lot of other people using free advertising resources and if they are not prepared to pay for advertising you have to ask yourself if they will want to buy from you.

But there are some free sites which you can join membership of which will benefit you, but they are only free in that you don't pay, you have to contribute your time. But as you have to work on your business if you are to get anything out of it.

We will be looking at some of them in GF25 Social Networking Web2.0.

You won't be on the internet long before you hear the term Viral Marketing. Those programmes that take this concept and run with it are free in the best possible way, they grow because one person tells someone, who in their turn tells someone else. Another Viral Marketing method is "Set and Forget".

One aspect of this is definitely taking off and that is Viral Giveaway progrmmes. The concept behind this is that you join it, contribute a piece of software, a document, etc and people choose it and give you their name and email address in return for downloading it.

A similar concept is choose something to give away and advertise that you will give it to them if they subscribe, as well as the above you can invite them to sign up for your newsletter, series of messages on a given theme.

Both of these methods are looked at in Viral Marketing.
